So, because I so seldom post my writing here, I decided it would just be easier for me to make a separate account for my writing.

This Writing Account is going to show-case my stories It Began with a Box, Maroque, my short stories, Varuna Project when I get to it, and whatever other stories and poetry I feel like adding.

I'll still be using this account to post my artwork, but from now on, all written work will be submitted through the other account.

Also, I've started taking $10 Artwork Commissions through Etsy.com! See here for further details!

A long time...

Sun Nov 22, 2009, 6:12 PM
It has been quite a long time since I've made an actual original art submission, and here you get two in one night! Haha. My last submission was that contest entry for Ryoko-san, and it turned out nice, but it was just a coloring job.

The first submission, Red and Blue Faerie, is almost two years old now, it sat in a sketchbook that got hidden away in my art bin (yes, I have a large bin full of art and writing I've done from 1999 forward - it used to be my toybox!) and I just recently re-discovered it. It's really good, so I decided to submit it.

The second one, David Tripp Markowitz, I just did that today. It took me about five and a half hours, all said and done. It's my second flatest picture, in terms of shading and depth and background, but it still turned out awesome. The background is flat on purpose. Because I am crap at backgrounds and just wanted to do a flat bed under him. [nodnod] No depth in there at all.

I've been in such a slump lately, not able to really draw anything good. Hopefully this will pull me out of it!

Edit: To further help pull me out of this "slump" I've started taking $10 Artwork Commissions through Etsy.com! See here for further details!

Hm...

Mon Feb 23, 2009, 6:15 AM
We-ell, I got this wonderful job troubleshooting digital cable for Bright House Networks in Tampa, Florida, but the only problem is I'm still here in Barrie while I am doing it. At this rate, even though I adore this job, and want nothing more than to turn it into a career, it seems I shall never get out of Barrie. Maybe I will have them transfer me somewhere... Look up Transcom Worldwide on wikipedia, look through the list of countries they have, and make me some suggestions on where to see if I can transfer to... XD Because I can't think right now.

No doubt you've noticed, before I uploaded the dragon-faerie girl, I was uploading hairfalls. I do make and sell them on Etsy.com as Candice Dionysus ( [link] ). I also sell custom ones, so if you ever want one, send me a message or alchemy me on etsy.

I... Have a serious crush on a co-worker... Wow. Its pretty bad. He's... We really get along, and maybe I'm just pulling a Sailor Moon or something, but... He's gorgeous. He's handsome, and he has a wonderful personality, and we like a lot of the same things. I dunno, its gonna drive me nuts, but I'm too chicken to tell him so... I've always been good at hiding crushes anyways. Since grade school. But I don't want any more regrets because I've been too scared to even hint that I like someone. So I'm all torn in two on this... I wish someone would give me the advice that my heart needs to hear... Because I don't want things to become awkward, but I also don't want to have to look back on this in a few years and say "man, I wish I told him that."

Oh, I'm also going to be working on getting a completely one-of-a-kind wardrobe over time. So I'm going to be posting pictures of myself in one-of-a-kind dresses and such with links to the people on Etsy who have made them for me. If you are a designer, or you sew, and you want me to pay you to make me clothing, send me a note here or on Etsy. <3

By the by, thanks everyone for over 3800 page views. I'm slightly impressed with myself. Its only been 5 years. XD

So! You've no doubt noticed the three new deviations I've added. The one of the sitting girl and the colored version, and the one of the random hair model from Cut + Color, the hairdressing magazine I like to buy every now and then. Expect a colored version of her in the next week or so.

I'd been going through an art block for a while there, but when I was flipping through the magazine, I came across that picture of the lovely lady and felt a compulsion to draw her, so I ended up with that lovely bit of work there. Before I drew her, I had only drawn the other one of the sitting girl, and at first I didn't like that drawing. Funny, usually the longer I wait to upload a drawing, the less I like it, but the more I saw of that one, the more I figured it wasn't as bad as I had thought and the more I wanted to post it.

Anyhow, expect a lot more original art as opposed to the fanart I used to do. A lot of my older characters, most of whom have not ended up in this gallery, have been on my mind a lot lately, and I feel its time I started to draw them again. Especially those from my Sick Cycle Karousel stories, and look out for new character drawings as well, because I've got some ideas bouncing around for storylines I've been developing. (I certainly plan on redrawing Fabulous Aprille, I'm not sure if I've posted him before. I think I have.)

Anyways, its almost 3 in the morning again, and I should get some sleep, because I have stuff to do tomorrow, including a little going away party for a dear friend of mine who has joined the Canadian Army. I think she's crazy, but she seems to know what she's doing. I also have to start doing more in regards to getting my GED, which means I have to see about printing off the form, finding the preparation book, and choosing a date at which I believe I can safely take the test without failing. I can't do anything until my tax return comes in, probably next month, but I can still get things ready for when it does. Yeah.

After that, its time to see about student loans and becoming a hairdresser, which is what I do really, really want to do (hence my buying Cut + Color), because the sooner I get that out of my way, the sooner I can become a fairly successful young woman and start honestly considering having kids (forget that, I need to find a partner of some sort before I can do that, haha. But that's what going to school in Toronto is for, no? Meeting new people, making new connections, and finally escaping this Pitcher Plant of a city known as Barrie). So yeah, the sooner I can do it, the better.

40% Retarded, apparently.

1. [X] You have choked on water before.

2. [] You have tripped down the stairs before.

3. [] You have walked into a door.

4. [X] You have pushed a door the wrong way.

5. [] You have walked into a wall.

6. [X] You have fallen going UP the stairs.

7. [X] You have jumped off something.

8. [ ] You have been electrocuted.

9. [] You have put metal/aluminum in the microwave

10. [] Right after a commercial comes on you forgot the show you were watching. (all the time!)

11. [X] You have forgotten something that someone said.

12. [ ] Your friends / family call you blond a lot.

13. [ ] You barely ever understand stuff / jokes, or it takes a long time to figure them out.

14. [X] You have been bleeding and not even noticed it.

15. [] You've worn something backwards / inside out the whole day without knowing.

16. [ ] You have stuck a fork / knife in a toaster before. (no but I did stick a spoon in the blender, which… shattered it….. we got a new blender)

17. [X] You have played with fire.

18. [ ] You have thought USA was a state.

19. [] You've stepped on a flat iron / curling iron / straightener.

20. [X] You had to write this down or use a calculator or use your fingers to figure out your answer of how retarded you are.

8/20 is... 4/10's. So 40% I guess? But at least I don't make the same grammatical errors as I've seen strewn about this silly test... If I didn't feel it would be arrogant of me, I might have gone through and rewritten the things that aren't technically right... But I don't think it would be cool of me, and I don't really want to right now anyway.

But the last one should say "You had to use your fingers, a calculator, or had to write the numbers down in order to figure out your level of retardation." ... That was the one that was actually really bugging me.

Anyway!
